At Angelic Smiles Center our mission is to provide you with exceptional and pleasant dental care.

The staff has been blessed to provide the people of Calumet City, the surrounding areas, Chicago, and Northwest Indiana with charitable dentistry. We support many non-profit humanitarian organizations that work throughout the world.

Bassam Issa DDS graduated as a dentist in 2002. He went on to complete a general practice residency at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, he finished 2 years of residency at Carolinas Medical Center and UNC-Chapel Hill where he specialized in oral medicine and facial pain. Dr. Issa is the only dentist in this area who has this specialty and work in a private practice.

Dr. Issa’s professional mission is to deliver a pleasant experience at the dental office which results in changing his patients’ lives. He truly loves it when he can relieve anxiety, restore self-confidence, and allows patients to use their teeth to function again.

Dr. Issa’s areas of interest include treating mouth sores, dry mouth, TMJ disorders. Throughout his residencies, he became proficient in oral surgeries, wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, root canal treatments, and cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of several dental associations and has published several articles in the field of oral medicine.

He is married and has 3 children. He enjoys traveling, cooking, sports, and family time.

DR. BASSAM ISSA

Dr. Bassam Issa graduated as a dentist in 2002. He attended Meharry Medical College, where he completed a general practice residency in 2009. Dr. Issa completed a residency in Oral Medicine, TMJ Disorders, and Facial Pain in 2012 from Carolina’s Medical Center and the University of North Carolina. He has several publications in the field of Oral Medicine.Dr. Issa

Dr. Issa is one of few dentists in the U.S. who specializes in Oral Medicine and practices general dentistry as well in private practice. This gives him the ability to perform a comprehensive evaluation for his patients.

Dr. Issa is a member of the American Academy of Oral Medicine, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American College of Maxillofacial Implantology.

He, his wife and two children live in Orland Park. He is an active member in the community; he is a volunteer for several humanitarian organizations.
